About Me

I’m Dylan Fuller, a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with more than a decade of experience delivering evidence-based care across private practice, hospital inpatient/outpatient programs, organisational consulting, and university settings. My academic path - with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), Master of Psychology (Clinical), and Master of Organisational Psychology - equips me to understand both individual wellbeing and the broader systems people live and work within. I’ve been registered with AHPRA since 2012 and am an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Who I Help

I work online with older teenagers (16+) and adults from anywhere in Australia. While I’m trained to treat a broad range of concerns - mood disorders, stress, sleep difficulties, life transitions, bereavement, and self-esteem issues - I have a special interest in anxiety, OCD and related disorders, depression, and trauma. Many clients come to me seeking structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, or trauma-focused CBT. Others benefit from the flexibility of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) or integrated mindfulness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills.

How I Work

Clients describe my style as practical, empathetic, and collaborative. Sessions feel warm and conversational, yet are grounded in clear goals and measurable progress. For telehealth, we’ll use secure video conferencing for 50-minute appointments - typically weekly to begin with, so momentum builds. Each session starts by agreeing on a focus linked to your goals. We then combine discussion with hands-on skill practice - from cognitive restructuring to real-time exposure exercises, depending on what is right for you. Between sessions you’ll have tailored “home practice” tasks, because meaningful change happens in daily life, not just in our sessions.

Commitment To Learning & Teaching

I have experience lecturing psychology students at the university level, and aim to remain adept at turning the latest research into practical, client-friendly tools. While clinical work is my main focus, I continue to contribute to the education of others when opportunities arise, keeping me closely connected to emerging evidence. I also pursue ongoing professional development - reading peer-reviewed journals, attending specialist workshops, and engaging in regular supervision as part of my clinical registrar program - so the CBT, exposure, and other strategies we use together are always informed by current best practice.
